No, but keep in mind you will have to have the as-built data flashed onto it, otherwise you'll get a beeping in reverse and every time you pass 75mph either up or down. Gets on your nerves real quick. Also, you need to get it programmed with the correct mileage for your car, before installing it. I think the correct procedure is to download the data off your current one with a VCMII BEFORE taking t off the car and then flashing the new one when you get it. Of course I did it wrong and ended up buying a chinese VCMII knockoff and a one day Motorcraft subscription and doing it myself (after more than two years of constant beeping). Make sure you buy the dash pre-programmed with your VIN and mileage from whomever you buy it from. I think now you can get them preprogrammed with the as-built data when you buy used off Ebay, but ask the seller first. Dealers don't look kindly on programming used dashboards when they'd rather sell you a new one for more than the car is worth now.
