Are we supposed to put our cars in a lower gear when going up a hill?

You shouldn't have to. I have a manual myself though, so I dont know, but do you guys have an overdrive button? If anything, when I was going up a lot of hills in my Explorer I would just flip that so it wouldn't keep shifting back and forth between 4th and 5th gear.

I have an auto and i shift manually all the time and B&M is coming out with the new auto shifter which should make spirited driving in an auto a lot more fun but i do it every once in awhile but one you slap a tune on there youll have a whole new carthe shift points are so hard.

Once the B&M shifter finally hits, you wont have to worry about missing the shift. The stock shifter sucks so bad, I would be terrified racing whith manual shifting. Honestly, the stupid shifter sometimes misses reverse as I am backing out of my driveway!

I cant wait for the ratchet shifter...it looks ugly as sin, but it will be our only option for reliable shifting.
