Hey guys, last night some jackass decided to egg my car with 4 dozen eggs. I got all of it off except for about 4 spots on the hood where the acid ate through the clear coat. Any suggestions on what to do? I have already usedthe Meguriars Scratch treatment, it helped just a little.

Also, any suggestions on car alarms? I was planning on getting one but this expediated the process quite a bit. I want one that would detect someone jacking with your car (i.e. going off when a torrential rain of eggs hit it) I don't have much experience in this area, so any suggestions would be appreciated! My car was hit with 5 eggs! Not nearly a dozen or a couple dozen, but the marks are there and the damage is done. I was over a friend's house, her car got egged a few weeks prior by some kids or something. We took her car out and when I got back my car was egged. Only thing I could say is report it to your insurance company and have it repainted. I'm just going to have the whole car re painted in a couple of years.

The eggs deterior the clear coat and paint. (As far as I know the impact of the egg that is.) Hence how I know I was hit with 5 eggs. If he got hit with 4 dozen eggs, that would leave 48 marks. Definately something that needs to be repainted.

 

I'd make a list of people that didn't seem to like me. Then the hunt would begin. That or offer a reward for the info of the ckskers that did it.

 

MAYBE COLRSAND THE CAR, AND GET STRIPES PAINTED ON AND RECLEARCOAT IT. KILL 2 BIRDS WITH ONE STONE. MIGHT EVEN BE ABLE TO GET SOMETHING OUT OF INSURANCE FOR VANDALIZM. Most eggings are at random and you can never pin point a person. I just had a dream and some kid ripped off my spoiler and ran away.

 

yep same happened to me, and left about 6 marks on my car. Still wondering how i could fix this!
