Yes, turning back to theleft is adjusting the struts to a softer setting.For example, I turned mineto the left 5 full turns (360 degrees equals one turn), which IMO gives the best ride/handling mix.

Thanks, but how do I leave them at the firmest setting and still remove the tool without changing the setting?

I run 2-turns from hard in back and 3-turns from hard in front. It is by far the best complement to the rest of the extremely stiff suspension that I have.

What I like about them is the settings can be set depending on the roads you drive. Where I lived previously I had them on 4.5 in front and 5 in the rear. Any stiffer and your teeth would fall out. Roads were crap everywhere. Roads are a lot better where I live now and I'm running 3 up front and 3.5 in the rear. Nice stiff ride. I don't even have the front sway bar and I can't even tell the difference.
