Thanks for the info. I might let it go to 1/2 tank and fill it back up with 93. At least this way I can know if just the gas or the tune. If it still acts up, i'll email brenspeed.

Definitetly email them if you have anymore problems, they are great at customer service and getting things right.

Stay with the 93 octane tune. I have been running the Brenspeed 93 octane tune for over 10.000 miles and its been perfect. All things considered, and knowing Brent and Brenspeed I dont think its a tune problem. WhenI switched from 87 to 93I ran it down to where the "50 miles to empty" light came on and then filled with 93 and changed the tune right there at the pump. It took maybe 20 miles to begin to notice the difference.
I sure wouldnt go back to 87 again! Plus my mileage went up at least 3 mpg in the city where I now average 20 to 21 mpg and I dont baby it. On the highway I'm getting 27 mpg or a little less if im in a play mood.

If you have a knock with it, i woudln't keep driving with it until you try bumping down the timing or calling Brent. Brenspeed is great and they tune to what they think your mustang likes but not all mustangs are the same, that's why a dynotune is best. My car might like, say, 15 degrees timing, but your car will knock at 15 degrees, but likes 14 degrees. It could easily be the tuning. The first set of tunes they gave me, my car didn't like it with my CAI, so they sent me new ones.

Yep, let it run down to 1/4 or 1/8th then refill again with 93 and test drive. It may take a couple of tanks. After a couple of tanks and it's still pinging contact Brenspeed and ask for a 92 tune. That's exactly what I did because I only have 92 gas. I didn't run the 93 tune with 92 octane but I did do a ~5 mile test, went back to the 91 tune, contacted Brenspeed and they sent me a 92 tune. The 92 tune on the 92 octane runs great and it may have a little more horsepower but not much onthe seat-of-the-pants meter.

Warlock,
How are you getting gas mileage that is that good? It doesn't even seem possible. My car is a gas hog. I do like to push her here and there, but not too much. I couldn't even dream of getting 27mpg. You can't get anywhere near that stock, and the mods do improve it that much. What else are you running?

Just to know, in order to get the car to run great at 93OCT, what type of chip do you guys suggest? My car is almost ready and I'd like to get the most of the investment.
