Default Quick question for everyone

First off my name is Nick I own a 2006 Cobalt SS/SC and live in Grafton, Ohio. No i'm not here to bash or troll. I have a buddy at work that hasa 2006 Mustang GT. He doesn't have internet yet so he asked if I could do some research for him.He bought the 2007 GT 500 front bumper/Grill ect. and was wondering if the stock hood would work with everything or would he have to get the GT 500 hood? Any info or linkswould be great. Thanks.

Do not need to uphrade the hood....he should have everything needed with the conversion kit he purchased. Enjoy! I am sure it will look sweet!

555* Has it, and I think he has the stock hood.

Also he doesn't list an aftermarket hood here, and it looks like the stock hood. So I think it should fit.

Don't quote me on this but I think I read that the grill is different on the GT 500 to accomodate the GT500 hood, that tells me that the GT500 grill won't fit right with the stock GT hood. The GT500 bumper may fit though with the stock grill. Try to search GT500 bumper & see what you get.

Thanks for the info its greatly appreciated. He bought the parts from his dealer. Would that be different from the Conversion kit or is it the samething? Also very sharp car Howarmat. Love those GT 500 rims.

I don't get most of the bodykit guys, especially the fake cobra bodykit guys...People will ask (once your buddy puts the "snake" badge on) "is that a cobra" and your buddy opens the car door with the cloth seats and absent nav system and says "ya, its a shelby gt500"

First off all, who said he was putting the Cobra Emblem on? And who said he was trying to play it off as a gt500?

Second, The reason I'm getting a body kit is because.
1) They look really good. Well most.
and
2) When I am just going to a friends house. I'll see at least 10 maybe 15 cars just like mine. I want it to be unique.

Nobody says "whoa! look at that mustang! that looks so cool!" like they did in 04-05. They are everywhere now...

The grill is different so the GT grill will not work. The stock hood should be fine. I looked into doing it when I had to replace my front bumper and it was 1300 i think, hood was not part of that.

I understand where your coming from though. Its the same thing in the Cobalt world. All the LS and LT's are putting on SS/SC wings and bodykit. Which I don't get because it make the SS/SC's look bad when they get whooped and people think they just beat an SS. He said he's not using the Cobra badge though.
