Axle-backs - Flowmaster VS Loudmouths
The MAC Prochamber mid-pipe has already been decided on. Now the question is Flowmaster American Thunders or SLP Loudmouths. Looking for clean sound as loud as it can be. Stock Cats have to stay(Texas emissions)[:@] What do ya'll think? Any discussions are welcome too.

dang this is a close one. i figured one would smash the other. Anybody know of a place to get loudmouths in Texas for a great price or any other placewith decent shipping charges? $340 at lmpperformance.com there's got to be acrazy mark-up for these mufflers. someone tell me that they're worth it or send me in the right direction. gracias

It wasnt mandrel bent, but you wont notice any hp gain / loss vs the original LM's
Sounds obnoxiously loud, and saved him a ton of $$ vs the real things.

I guess you could say I did the "poor man's version" too. Lol. I just couldn't see paying $300-$375 for a piece of pipe with a tip on it. I chose the tips I wanted which are 15"x3" and had it all welded up. Cost me a total of $160. With the o/r x-pipe it is "racecar" loud though. I think my Kooks longtubes and the catted x are going to tone it down a bit though.

If it was just an axleback switch, I'd say go with the Loudmouths. I had the American Thunders, but they just weren't loud enough for me. I like the sound, but they seem a little lessbubbly (if that's the word) than the Loudmouths and just a little bit louder than stock. Since you're going with a Prochamber as well, it could go either way. It should make the Flows louder, and it might make the SLPs too loud, but then again it might make more drone with the Flows. Just some thoughts...
