Ford Racing Drag Pack
Has anyone installed the Ford Racing Drag Pack??
90mm Cold Air Kit
4:10 ratio Ring and Pinion
Shorty Headers
Super Short Throw Shifter
Performance Oli Filter
Pro-Cal official Ford Racing calibration
I can get this along with and x pipe installed too!
I have an AFE 90mm cold kit and Ford Racing cat-back mufflers already which I'm told could give me about 19 - 29HP gain
With the Drag pack installed, what would be my likley HP gain?
They say I'll pick up 5/10ths on the quarter but no mention of HP gain.

IMHO, the drag pack is not worth it. Specifically:
Cold Air Kit: Works, but it's one of the worse CAIs on the market. Buy a better one instead. (You already have a CAI that is better than this anyway)
4.10 ratio R&P: Good mod! This is the only thing the pack has going for it...but you can buy it individually for less money.
Shorty Headers: Worthless, Imho. A lot of money and a lot of labor for installation for a measly 5 HP.
Short Throw Shifter: OK I guess.
Oil Filter: Yes, this is a good filter. But it's not going to give you any power...and these are cheap anyway.
Calibration: Nothing special. A SCT or Diablosport tuner from a shop like Brenspeed, Evolution, or B amachips would be much better. The Ford tuner does'nt allow for customization by the user, whereas these two I mentioned do.
Compared to what you have now, the only thing that will give you HP out of this kit is the headers...but that's a very small gain....and given that your CAI is better than this one, you'd probably be better off with what you have now anyway.
Buy just the gears by themselves and forget about the rest of it. If you want more power, get UDPs, CMCP Delete, or Longtube headers.

OK, OK...I did a little more reserch...and I going with with the short throw (cuz I keep missing 3rd) but maybe the 3.73 gear instead of the 4.10 for hwy driving (will I really notice a difference?) and a Diablosport tuner. What about the X pipe I've read it louder and more vibration, will I see more HP over the H pipe?
an o/r x pipe will add HP and it will be louder and raspier.
an o/r h pipe will add HP, not as much as the x pipe, but the sound will be louder and deeper than x pipe.

Tacobill has many nice vids that show off the stingers with h pipe sound.

An X pipe has a SMALL HP advantage over the H-pipe...maybe 2-3 HP? It's mainly a different kind of sound. Other differences aside, there should be no difference in volume or vibration between X or H. Now, an offroad X-pipe will be louder than the stock H-pipe, but that has nothing to do with the X/H...it's the lack of cats!
If you are really concerned about missing 3rd, some polyurethane engine mounts or a CHE K-member brace with torque limiters would be a better buy than the shifter. The main reason why people miss 3rd has nothing to do with the length of the shift, but it's becasue theengine and transmission twist too much on the OEMhydraulic mounts, which makes the shifter bind up.Either of the parts I mentioned will keep the parts from twisting, which in turn willstop you missing gears.
As for highway driving, the difference will be pretty minor.
