Default 5spd tune vs. automatic tune

i've been hearing crazy stories about how great this tune is, blah blah blah, but i was wondering if the difference is noticeable in a 5spd. i am 100% stock, and am thinking about a cai and tune (that's it). either that, or do 4.10 gears with no tune (i can do this, right?).

what will be a bigger difference, and what should i do when i finally get the money?

If you do the 4.10's your speedo would be way off and you would need to get the tuner to re-set it anyway.

Might as well just do the CAI & tune.

Gears are not going to get you any HP Gain. Get the CAI and Tune. Then get gears.

I agree 100%--get the tuner & CAI first. It is VERY noticeable in a 5-speed.

The tune is an important foundation to all other mods.

As Scotty said, you need a tuner to correct your speedo if you change your gears anyway, so you might as well start with the tuner. Also, I would not change gears until you address some of the suspension weaknesses first...otherwise you'll just be spinning and not going anywhere!

First mod has to be the CAI and tune. If you think it's gonna stop there your sadly mistaken..........You'll see. Most important thing is enjoy your mustang!
