THANKS ALL SO FAR. KEEP THEM COMING SINCE THIS IS A VERY DIFFICULT CHOICE. I DONT KNOW IF I STRESSED AS MUCH WHEN I WAS PICKING NAMES FOR MY SONS. DO YOU GUYS PAINT THEM OR ARE THEY VINYL? IF VINYL, HOW DO THEY HOLD UP TO WEATHERING AND ENVIRONMENT? ANY AND ALL INFO IS APPRECIATED. HERE IS A BETTER PIC WITH MY WHEELS TO HELP DECIDE ON COLOR. IF I WENT BLACK,WOULD IT LOOK HORRIBLE WITH THIS WHEEL COMBO?

Mellow, Ive had both. I never had a problem with the vinyl and it withstood weather quite well too. I think it was 3M material if I remember correctly. My current stripes were painted on (which I like better).

Vinyl doesnt hurt the paint right? So in a year or two you could remove the stripes or put on a differentcolor and completley change the look of your car.

Tilt, im guessing that if you have it garaged most of the time, it shouldn't but if you live in a place like Florida like I do (where my girl sits outside 24/7), I gotta think that there is going to be some discoloration... but that's my wild *** guess.

Mine is garaged all the time. Will vinyl be O.K.? And to ask again, is there a damaging affect when you peel them off?

I've had my vinyl stripes 7 days, no problems yet. [sm=lol.gif]

Vinyl is fine, but don't expect to have them on for a few years and remove them without seeing the effects of that. You need to remove them with a heat gun and the paint underneath will look just like it did the day you applied the stripes while the rest of the car will be oxidized, faded, and otherwise depleted from exposure to everything. If you plan on re-applying stripes then I don't forsee a problem. For the ultimate in durability, looks and that 'wow' factor, have them painted on, it's without a doubt the best you can get if it's done right. That means removing all clear from the panels, masking, sanding and applying the color, then properly clear-coating the finished product. And you may even need to blend in the other panels because you'll never be able to completly match the factory clearcoat. Good luck, the ride looks great so far!

IMO your car would look great with stripes like the Parnelli Jones/Saleen limited edition Mustang . . . and done in flat black. BTW, yours also looks great the way it is, and I love those wheels.
