Default Removing A Pillar to fix dash noise

I have seen people talking about removing the A pillar some where around the dash to fix a noise caused by the plastic rubbing against the sheet metal underneath. I have no idea what the A Pillar is or how to remove it but I know this fix will cure my problem and would really appreciate it if someone would tell me where the A pillar is and how to remove it. Also if anyone has any pics of this please post them. I have taken the car to the dealer 3 times for this problem and have had no luck. Thanks.
