How would you line up the LCA's? Would the alignment shop do that for you?

OK CrazyAl, I ordered the Steeda LCA's.....I hope everyone is happy now!

Just joking.....I rather do this right since I drive 70 miles to work one way every day.

An alignment shop should be able to do this.

Also, I posted detailed directions a while back that explain exactly how to set the angle. The server seems to be having problems with the search at this instant, otherwise I'd dig up the link and post it here, but perhaps someone else remembers where it was.

Also, which Steeda arms did you get? You need adjustable LCAs. Double check and make sure you ordered the adjustable kind. Most of Steeda's are not adjustable. If you haven't ordered yet I would advise you to get some from BMR or Sphon instead. Theirs are much better quality and their prices are the same.

OK CrazyAl, which adjustable lower control arm do I need? There are several different ones. Here are some from LMPerformance.

I just don't want to order the wrong ones as this area I am not very well versed in.

Another one of our vendors has an adjustable LCA. Here is the link:

I hope I am not being a bother to you or others here. I am not an expert at this and I want to do it right as I respect your valuable input.

OK, thanks for posting that link Wingman...it wasn't exactly the one I was thinking of, but it did help me find what I was looking for.

This web page has text that I wrote over many posts here on the forum. Octavio was kind enough to compile it all and put it up on the web:

http://www.cherod.com/mustang/HowTo/LCA%20_adj.htm

...he also redrew all of my crappy sketches!

Anyway, that page not only explains how to do the adjustment, but also the pros and cons of different kind of LCAs.

05Blue, here are the thoughts on those links you have posted:

The ones from Stangsuspension: I would NOT buy these. These are adjustabe--and that's good. But there are two problems with them. First, they have heim joints (rod ends) on both ends. Thus they will be very loud on a street car. Second, they are made of aluminum--and they actually have aluminum threads too, and I would not trust that for a part that is so highly loaded.

From LMP Performance: I would buy these...
http://www.lmperformance.com/7566/87.html

...Spohn Tubular Adj. LCAs with poly/spherical rod ends.

Equally good is BMR's part number TCA021 ("Adjustable Lower Street Control Arms with poly bushing/rod-end combination"). LMP Performace used to sell these too, but it is difficult to find them on their web site. Their listings are quite confusing!

Got the Spohn adjustable LCA like the one you suggested ordered. Thanks for all your help.

They must sell a boat load of LCAs because of this forum.
