Ram air.
Before i go and do something stoopid. Would cutting out a the square in the california dream hood to make space for the mustang shaker system interfere with the way the hood functions, or is the ram air passage ways in the hood too far forward from where i would be cutting to interfere?

RE: Ram air.
I have an 05 and I cut out the center for a CDC shaker. I never had the problem reported by many regarding the unstable hood at high speeds but my shaker hood works great. There is not interferance in the 05 hood. Just put a 2x4 under the hood and cover it with some towels so shavings go go everywhere. It's routed through the back in the 05. The california edition may be diffrent.

RE: Ram air.
no no no. don't cut. on the cali dream hood you are correct . the vents are only like a foot from the front of the hood. you can do it but the the vents will not function. although if you have a shaker it has the scoop which functions as a ram air. . I guess I am not sure of your main concern. if you want the vents on the hood to be functional then don't add the shaker. If you add a shaker it has the scoop and the hood vents serve no point but looks. not sure how that would look- front vents and center hood scoop.
