If you want to rub it out yourself, I would try using some 3M Perfect-It II Fine Cut Rubbing Compound (liquid). Pep Boys and others carry it. Just follow the directions on the bottle. Start with a small area to get a feel forusing it.This stuffworks great, either when used by handor machine buffing. Hand buffing just takes a little longer. When you finish buffing with the Fine Cut, you may want to follow up with3MSwirl Mark Remover for a super glossy swirl-less finish.

Clay bar worked for me on a previous vehicle. Use Meguiars agressive clay bar. Meguiars makes a mild as well. If that doesn't work than take back to body shop and have them wetsand the paint to a smooth high gloss shine.

Wow! Lots of good tips!
Another important lesson here:
Before taking your car in for body work be sure to give it a good wax! They screwed up the inside part of my wheel well and I didn't notice it until it was too late.
Not to mention over spray on my gas cap!

If this was on my 2000 Mits Galant I would "try" some of the things mentioned here. I highly recommend bringing the car to 2-3 quality well known detail shops and talk to the detailer at each. You will then know which one to go with. I wouldn't expect the cost to be more than $50-$60. Trial and error on your own, is not in order here (IMO) as yourun the risk of creating a newissue that will require a trip to the detailer anyway (or worse).

ya Lees07GT said it right. that 3m fine grade rubbing compound should do it. do it by hand. it will take a little longer but you wont buff thru the clear. then wax it real good with a good wax. i think it will do the trick for you. good luck.

It's a pain. Bring it back to the body shop and ask them to fix it.

Dude.....take it back to the body shop that oversprayed it and make them take it off, that is part of the paint job, not overspraying the rest of the car.
