gear oil--how much???

I tried to search but nothing came up. How much is needed when making a gear change. I know I saw a thread on this alittle while ago but can't find it. Thanks in advance!!!!!!!!

I think its just over 2 pints or 2 litres, whatever the bottle size is at the store you need 2 plus a little more...

The approximate capacity is in your owner's manual. The correct technique is to fill it up until the oil just starts to come out of the fill hole.
