Default Tune

Does a tune for 91 octane make sense while keeping the factory airbox, or is it even possible?? if so where?? Thanks

you should be able to keep air box, but take out the pre-cat thing in your tube, and add a drop in K&N. should still give you benifit. The big thing w/the tune is taking out throttle lag, so you will still feel a difference.

I dont see why not. Just talk to the tuner first, before you order your tune.

You arent going to really gain anything with the drop in. The tune from Brenspeed or B ama will give you your gains. If you want to really get some gains give in and get the CAI and tune combo.

If you are still worrying about the warranty then the tune is the one that will void it more so than a CAI so you might as well just get the combo. What is holding you back?

Any tune for any octane is well worth it though.

There is no place around here to get a tune, I have to rely on Ebay vendors I think??

Brenspeed.com - B a m a chips.com (minus the spacing) and many other vendors that sell Intake/Tune combos. Or just tuner/tunes. Many of us are using such tunes with 0 problems, and the customer service is great.
