Sirius Satellite mounting?
Hello All,
Just wondering if any of you all have found a slick way to mount your Sirius Sat portable tuner? I didn't get the Sirius sat tuner built into my radio, I need it to be portable. My work has the Internet access blocked but I was able to wire an antenna to my office (sweet). Currently I have my unit floating around in my center console until I find a better way to mount it. I do have the windshield mount but I would rather mount it down low but not in the way.
Any suggestions?

I don't have a pic, but I mounted mine right above and between the two air vents in the center of the dash. I used industrial strength velcro, so it is removable with a small tug. It sticks up a little above the dash, but it's not really noticable from the outside. I tried the windshield, console, inside the center console compartment, etc. None of these were as good.
In addition, I've found that mounting the antenna on the center of the trunklid at the front, right by the rear glass, gives the best reception with the least amount of ugliness.

Man your gonna be glad I found your thread!! I had the same dilema a while back and then found this awesome mount made just for our stangs, and its still somewhat universal so it will fit your exact radio. I too tried to rig it between my air vents with industrial grade velcor and it was just a mess...This bracket is the solution!! Heres the link where to get it and some pics of mine installed! Also notice the picture on the link to show you exactly what you've got to work with! Hope this is what u were searching for

What Sirius player do you have? I have the Starmate 4 and had the same issue as you, and after doing a lot of research, I found a mount that I put in between the two air vents above the radio. If you want, I can take a pic today and post it for you. The mount I bought was called the low-boy. http://store.xmfanstore.com/loboy.html I just used the metal portion of the mount and left the plastic swivel piece off.
Thanks, I am glad you found my thread. Looks real clean. I ordered one today. The best thing is I wont have to drill any holes that I may regret later. Does look like it will get in the way of the pasangers legs either. So I noticed in the required tools section the that call for a "hook tool", can you get one of these "hook tools" at a car audio store or is this something different?
