Default Home Depot OIL SEPARATORS

I went to home depot today and why I was looking for stuff for my yard I decided to check out the section where everyone is home making thier own oil separators. Well I found the section and everyone of the oil separators only had a temparture rating of 125 degrees? Also I read the directions and it said synthetic oils will damage the plastic fill tube of the separator. How are your home depot separators holding up? They looked beefy but they had a flame icon where the temparture rating where of 125 degrees and our motors run alot hotter than that[&:]Is there any where else I can home make one for cheap? The brand I was looking at was Husky and the guy in the air tool section said that it wouldn't last a week before busting the plastic pieces inside with the vehicle tempartures[&:]

It's for the S/C guys because the increase in intake vacuum pressure after a S/C they tend to pull oil through the PCV and in to the intake which is bad for the (intake, valves, CATs, O2 sensors, ect) a cam change "could" cause the oil in intake issue to a much lesser degree if at all

IMO stay out Home Depot / Lowes / Ace /TrueValue when looking for car parts.
I am not flaming you or trying to be rude either. Those pics just look "rigged", and look more at home on a 1980 Cordoba with fine Corinthian Leather and coat hangers on the exhaust system.
Oil seperators have been around for decades.

There are best guess at least a 100 vendors/models to choose from.

The nails and screws are for tires.....

Well thanks very much! No s/c for me yet so I guess Im ok. I had heard that the ones you can make up at Home Depot etc need to be emptied every few days and that the parts might not stand up to the heat and didnt like synthetic oil either. Again a great explaination sir thanks
