Default Boost Gage installed - pics!

Wanted to install a boost gage but couldnt find a single gage pillar pod. Well after looking around and realizing there is nowhere else in our cars to mount a gage (I dont care for the ones that mount in the valley in the center of our dash) I decided on the vent to the right of the driver. To my dismay the gage fit perfectly like it was designed for this location! Took me longer to figure out where to run tubing thru on the firewall than it did to mount the gage. Actually it was interesting taking the center console out since Ive never done that before on this car either. All in all about a 5 out of 10 on the difficulty meter. Wish I had taken pics during for a write up but didnt think of it....

Actually it wasnt that bad. Once i figured out where the line came thru that I pushed thru the grommit (couldnt find it for the longest time) the rest was pretty easy ...

Nice job!! Looks like it was made to fit in the vent opening!!! I like installs that are "outside of the box".....I thought about installing my Raptor in the center power point opening, but did not want to sacrifice the power point.......

Congrats,
Mike

I like it! You know, if you ever wanted more gauges you could do the other side, and drille one in the middle. THat would look pretty clean.

ORIGINAL: PROMETHEUS PRIME

What size is the gauge?
2 5/8 AutoMeter Boost gage #4401 It comes with this little mounting ring that creates the perfect fit inside the vent opening once bolted to the gage.
