clutch is made of snakes!
been searching... a question about clutch rattle... i have it in first gear... wondering if i should just accept it along with the noisy tranny or bring it in for warranty work... Will they laugh or change something? What is it? What is an acceptable level of noise from a tranny/clutch? When my camaro had noise this bad the clutch and tranny mount both crapped out on me...

RE: clutch is made of snakes!
Are you sure it's a clutch rattle and not the exhaust hangers on the transmission brace? I've got the rattle, and I'm hoping it's not the clutch... I don't wanna take it to the dealership and have to deal with those morons.

it could be anything... It rattles right after engaging the clutch... only for about 1 second... makes me think im a crappy driver, but im not... Is this describing the other noises?

well i harped about my noisy tranny from day 1
ford printed out a few TSB's showing that gear roll over noise was common, and the dealer said that the unit itself is a noisy unit and not to be concerned
funny thing is, im in the middle of arguing with them over me getting a new transmission because of noise in 2nd, 3rd and 4th
test drive a new unit and see if its just as noisy and go from there
