TINTS SCRATCHED
so i know i cant be the only new mustang owner who got tints and now theyre all scratched to s**t from raising and lowering the windows. anyone know what i can do about this if anything?
get moleskin, ask to have your tinter back them if they had warranty, and install the moleskin before the new tint goes in
There is also a sticky on this in the S197 technical section check it out

Felt strips with adhesive backing from hobby lobby works well to. Cost me 2 dollars and 30 minutes of my time and the best part i didn't have to take off my door panels.

Guys...I am here to help. First, there's a "sticky" here, somewhere..top of pages most likely that talks about the tint problem and how to fix. I used felt, some use moleskin..whichever you use...recommend that if your window is not scratched yet, to install ASAP. If damaged, but can live with it (my case)...install ASAP. Otherwise, replace the tint and....install moleskin ASAP. BTW, it is not the window track problem, but the track (from factory) problem. So, unless FORD has issued a TSB..and they have not. Your best bet is to install the moleskin or felt. Click below on the tech link.

The felt comes 9 inches wide by 12 inches long. You will need exactly 36 inches of felt on each side. Cut three strips about 3/4 inch wide and 12 inches long which is the length the felt comes in anyways so no measuring needed for the length. Let your windows all the way down and start from theend where you open the door. You can actually take your finger and slide itbetween the window and the strip just to show theres ample room to lay the felt strips where you need them and press so they will stick. Pull the adhesive backing off as you the lay felt stripsinto place with one or two fingers. Do the first twelve inches then grab another strip of felt that you've cut and butt it up to the end of the first felt strip and continue the same process until you finish each side. I have provided a link to the type of felt from hobby lobby. http://www.craftsetc.com/Store/ShowP....aspx?p=161018
