Default Header h-pipe question

Whats the difference between short and long tubes? The jba h-pipe and long tubes...are they worth the money or is there a better combo? The h-pipe, will it give more horsepower or just better sound?

Long tube headers are tuned to give the best performance and flow much better than shorties (what we have stock). The h-pipe with the long tubes is necessary because it has to be shorter than our stock h-pipe due to the headers being longer. An off-road mid-pipewill give you more hp than a catted pipe due to less restriction. If you want power, long-tube headers are the way to go since after-market shorties will only give you about 5rwhp. If you like the deep, muslcar sound, you'll want to stick with an h-pipe (the other option is the x-pipe which sounds more raspy which some people like). Kooks and JBA are my headers of choice but I probably won't have to make that final decision for a while. If I were to choose right now, i'd go with JBA headers and off-road h-pipe.

Shorties will give about 3-5 hp over stock. Long tubes will give about 15-19 more hp than stock. An O/R mid-pipe will give 2-3 hp over a catted setup.
