Default Weighed the Denny DS

Well, just thought all should know that I weighed the DS and the result was 23 lbs. At 3"s, this is such a better deal than the 4" alum. shafts that everyone talks about. Less rotational mass, stronger, and costs the same. What morecould you want. Now can't wait to get it on!

I have not weighed the stock shaft myself. ( have not removed it yet) I have read that it weighes approx. 45 lbs. The 4" alum. shafts weigh 16-17 lbs. But they are 4" instead of 3" and less strength.

I have had the Denny's in for a few weeks with 0 problems. It is an awesome shaft. It is high speed balanced to 8000 rpms, so there is no vibration issue. It has a lifetime warrwnty against breakage. It is their "nitous proof" steel 3" shaft. I had a different 3.5" chromemoly in before this one, and had vibration issues no matter what I did.

I've heard the 4inch alumnum driveshafts that weigh 16-17lbs reduce et's by .2 in the 1/4 mile

Did I miss something along the way? Who makes this 3" DS? What is the "same" cost?

Never mind I just saw the topic "Weighed the Denny DS".

Waiting for driveshaft prices to come down to reasonable levels. Maybe if and when FRPP starts offering one.
