Default Brand Newbie Question

Hey brand new here.......got my first Mustang ever & love it. My brother in law asked me at Easter "what horse power is it" I have to admit I said "I dunno" [:'(]

He was akin me if I was getting Magnaflow & a bunch of other questions. I said man I just got it , let me do some reading on the Mustang Forum before you kill me with questions!

Anyway it is a 2007 GT Coupe Premium
4.6 L 3V OHC V8
5-Speed Automatic

What s the Horse Power.

Once again this is really my first fast car. I had a Firebird when I was 16 that was a piece of crap. This car is fast to me. For you car guys out there how does my new purchase fair aagainst other stock cars out there ( firebirds , foreign, etc )

300 at the crank, but about 260ish at the wheels. Get a Cold air intake and a tune from either brenspeed or b ama and it will feel alot faster. Alot of us also change out the gears and go with 3:73 or 4:10. Good luck and happy modding

Ford rates the HP at 300 but I know most stock GT guys were getting numbers between 285 and 300.

As far as exhaust goes, if you want loud...SLP Loudmouths or Borlas are the loudest but I think Borla sounds the best. The most popular are Flowmaster American Thunder I think.

Congrats on the new car though! Looks sweet
