Default Hurst issues

I've probably had my Hurst shifter installed for about 400 miles now.

The last two times I went to start up the car I had the following issue, with the shifter left in 1st gear it was jammed in first.

I had to use a little muscle to get it out of 1st into neutral. It shifted like normal for the rest of the ride, until about 2 days latter when I went for a drive again and I had the same issue.

Anyone else have a similar issue?

two things could be the problem, is the chrome handle on the correct side. it should be on the passager side and bolted on. If not you are binding it up. Two the bottom two rear bolts may lose or in wrong and have mis alligned the shifter. Hoped i helped

Good suggestions, I installed mine about 2 months ago. No issues. I hope you get it resolved.

Are you parking on an incline? If the driveline is loaded it might make it hard to get out of first. Try using the parking brake next time before you let off the foot brake.

I said might because i'm just guessing.
