05 GT is Creaking like an old ship!!! HELP!
I've noticed that I can hear some LOUD creaking (like old-rusty cars) from the back passenger side! (Aft-Starbord)
It will creek with every little bump when driving over 70 mph and is also noticeable at lower speeds as low as 40 mph.
(or 5 mph on speed bumps)
I can't find where it's coming from. Anyone have any ideas?
I'll try to record the sound tomorrow evening.

Don't know if you changed any bushings or control arms but assuming it's all stock, spray some good penetrating oil on all the moving parts.(bushings, springs etc.) Some poly bushings will sqeak in time that's why the newer ones have zerk (grease) fittings. Like another mentioned the springs, could be the rubber isolator worn through.

I haven't looked under my own car, but I assume that the bushings are rubber and not urethane or silicone or whatever.
The point is that oil - penetrating or otherwise is the worst thing for rubber parts.
Silicone or Teflon lubes are a good bet and won't deteriorate the rubber over time, but be careful not to get silicone overspray on the paint or someone painting the car 30 years from now will get fish eyes believe it or not.

So you all think it's outside the car?
To me, when driving in the driver's seat I think it's inside
like the spare tire was loose (it's not i checked and checked again).
I didn't modify anything but the mufflers. Do you think it could be that?
Also! I do burn my fair share of ruber. Do you think that the bad stock
wheel hop could have boroke something? []

mine would make a squeeking noise on the passenger side rear, inside of the car when i first got it. i finally found it in mine not too long ago. it was the carpeted mat under the windshield moving around. i fixed it by pulling down the passenger rear seat and fitting a rubber spacer, maybe about an inch thick, in between the metal and the carpet mat.
may or may not be what your's is, but im sure it's someone else's problem as well

RE: 05 GT is Creaking like an old ship!!! HELP!
My first Mystichrome Cobra (#697) convertible that I had originally bought brand new in February 2004 had the same nasty problem. It creaked like an old ship at any speed on the front bottom edge of the passenger side door area, especially when going 2 mph over parking lot speed bumps. As it turned out, it was a flaw from the factory. Apparently, the floor panel and bottom edge of the passenger side fender were not welded correctly to the frame, and thus it would make a creaking sound as they would rub while the vehicle would flex while driving. After using their special "ears" to pinpoint where the noise was coming from, the Ford dealer tried to help the problem by spot welding those areas. It helped, but over time, the areas would loosen up and creak again. However, I don't know if this problem would've been fixed over a long period of time. Mystichrome #697 was totaled in an accident by a red light runner in June 2005.
Fortunately, my second and current Mystichrome Cobra (#969) convertible, which I also purchased brand new, doesn't have that problem.
