Brake ???

RE: Brake ???
Having a larger rotor will provide you with better heat dissipation and depending on the material and thickness it may not add weight so there is the potential for increased stopping power.
However, having a larger rotor while still using the stock caliper and pads will not make a significant difference in stopping power, distance, fade, etc. If you increase the rotor diameter you need to increase to larger pads so to take advantage of the larger potential surface where you can apply friction. As far as I have seen our stock pads are in full contact with the rotor so only increasing the rotor will change nothing, you need to put in larger and better pads. Actually if you put 14"+ rotors and kept the stock caliper and pads you will actually increase your stopping distance because the rotor will weigh more and take more force to slow down which you are not increasing by staying with the stock caliper and pads.
Bottom line, increasing the rotor diameter without increasing the pad surface area will not improve your braking, it may make it worse and these cars don't stop on a dime so I wouldn't do it unless you are getting a full kit.
