I Hate Coolant.....
...Considering i'm covered in it right now. My car apparently just doesn't like coolant. It just spits it out at me.
After I installed the S/C, it seems my car just doesn't wanna drink the damm coolant. The day we installed it, I took it for a drive. When we got back, it was smoking!!! Looked inside, and all the damm coolant was gone. My temp guage never moved... I noticed coolant in the center well of the engine block. After some troubleshooting, we found out that a gasket in the coolant crossover tube broke. We changed it and ran it for a while and all worked well.
Then, my cold plug started leaking because it wasn't fitting right. Took off the crossover tube AGAIN, and fixed it. Everything seemed fine. I had just been filling it with water and no coolant.
Yesterday, I finally get around to buying some coolant. I had just figured that I had to keep filling it this week because I was bleeding the system of air. Well, as it turns out, thats not the case. The water was just evaporating off the ground before I could see it. After putting in about half a gallon of coolant, I drove from the walmart to my apartment. I come out this morning, and the damm driveway is full of coolant. I just wanted to start screaming. I can't figure out where this leak is coming from. When I squeeze the coolant tube on the drivers side though, I can hear air (or coolant) coming out. It's just annoying as hell. I think the leak is coming somewhere from the damm thermostat housing, but I won't be able to get down there without removing some parts. [:@][:@][:@][:@][:@]
Now I'm covered in coolant, and I still have a leak. Guess I'll just have to carry gallons of water in my car until I can fix it or get it out to a performance shop.

Its been at the shop, once of the first leak, andonce for the fuel pump. The coolant never drains completly. There is alway a SMALL amount left in the container. My water temp usually never changes, so I don't think i'm risking engine damage. I just have to fill it up every day.
/me has a headache.

I don't know the specifics of the powerdyne S/C, but I had a similar coolant leak after I installed my Saleen S/C. Turns out the leak was where one of the new heater core metal coolant tubes connected into the back of the water pump. The new tube (just like the stock one) slides over the nipple sticking out of the back of the water pump. There is an O-ring that is supposed to make the seal, but under pressure, mine was leaking. Unfortunately, I had to pull the S/C out to get to it. I ended up cutting the heater coolant tube from Saleen and putting some good old fashioned heater hose with 2 worm clamps in its place to form a better seal. Now, there are no leaks.
Again, I don't know if the Powerdyne has you replace these coolant tubes, but if they do, thatmight be a good place to check.

If there's no fluid (coolant) touching the sensor (b/c it's dry) the gauge will not MOVE!
