FRPP GTA 5230 AXLE BACK

If you want a loader, meaner exhaust, add a Bassani catted x-pipe to your set up. This will make it mean as hell while you are on the gas but still drone free and only slightly louder while freeway cruising.

RE: FRPP GTA 5230 AXLE BACK
I have a single GTA on my V6 and here is my take:
Inside it is no louder than stock. Perhaps a tad deeper, but not louder.
Outside it sounds awesome! A low gurle at idle and growls when you get on it.
It sounds MUCH deeper than the Borla I had.
I will add this thought - the CAI really made the exhaust sound good.
Before the CAI the GTA was not too impressive. I can really tell the difference with the GTA

I'm happy with the GTAs, a bit louder and throatier than stock. The sound is great even when accelerating slowly.
One day I was driving a slow winding road up to mountain 10 miles or so, and I can say that I would have got annoyed if I had exhaust
that drones, under load the GTAs are louder than stock exhaust. [sm=smiley20.gif]

I have the GTA's and here's the scoop IMO. Without a CAI + tune, the GTA's
are only very slightly louder at idle. At WOT they do sound a little better BUT,
the key to hearing a really nice WOT sound, is to get a cai + tune.
i just returned to the factory intake and airbox this morning in preparation
for my whipple and the sound of the GTA's are softer/quieter now....

I installed my JLT II cai / Brenspeed tune and GTAs on the same day, and I think they are certainly louder than stock at idle and regular driving. Much louder at WOT. And I like the way they sound.

The reason I went with pypes violators over FRPP is because I wasn't sure that a setup made by the car maker would be very loud... The pypes gave me something much louder than stock, but not at all as loud as borlas or something like that.
Your ford racing ones do look awesome though!!!
An x-pype would probably help out...
But yes they'll get louder.

The GTA's are nice. The tips are also terrific. I just couldn't take the drone of the Ford Racing Borla stingers. When I launch from a red light I can really here the mufflers. IMO its not the mufflers at all. Its the fact that we have modular engines with three valves. I'm old school and the exhaust that comes from my 351W with Flows is what I grew up on.

I'm still debating whether I want to add the FRPP x-pipe.
