CAI ??
I have an S&B CAI and its suppose to make hp gains without a tune but if most cai's are made basically the same and some need tunes and some don't whats the difference. I guess what i'm trying to say is I didn't notice any difference and was wondering if I could get a tuner and tune it with the cold air intake or do I have to sell it and get a different cai?

RE: CAI ??
i would call or email an sct xcal dealer and ask about
it. if the s&b cai has an MAF connector, then most
likely a tune can be written to accomodate it.
if your not getting any trouble codes, then it's possible
you are actually getting increased airflow and the
spanish oak processor is able to compensate with the
proper fuel ratio.

RE: CAI ??
I also have the S & B intake. The only thing I noticed when I installed it on the stock motor was itmade the motormuch louder. An SCI or Diablo tuner is your best bet for more power as the CAI doesn't do a whole lot without a tune. The other mod that does'nt make a whole lot of HP is upgrading the mufflers. I learned the hard way. These motors breathe pretty well stock.
