Question about tuners... do they add power?
Hi. So, do tuners add power or are they only meant to allow the adding of power when other mods are installed?
Also... Is the diablo predator a good one?

It was actually a pretty dumb question... Especially now that i've read a bit about them.
But heres a new question... Will a tuner void warranty? I ask because even tuners that restore stock settings will still let the ecu show that it has been 'read'.
On the flip side, you could easily say "yeah, i had autozone hookup to see if i had any codes...". But, hey, anyone want to comment?
I've searched on it but nothing solid yet..

I just installed my CAI and tune last Friday. I waited until warranty was up, do to the fact that I did not want any hassle from Ford regarding warranty issues. Yes you can reload factory tune and then will be none the wiser. As for power, it brought my car to life. Only regret, I waited 36000 miles to install it.
tuners don't really "add" power, they unleash the power that ford has bottled up in the stock tune.
if you get caught, a tuner will cause you warrenty problems if they can prove it was the tune that cause whatever the problem is. good luck beating Ford though.
we have a couple of great tuners here as forum sponsors so check em out.
