Another O/R H Pipe ?
I installed my Pypes O/R H pipe two days ago. I am running this with the SLP LM's and everyone is right, it is a raw sound. Had a friend, who followed me yesterday, call this morning wanting to know if I could even hear my radio, because he couldn't hear his LOL.
Couple of questions on the combo now:
1. I am going to receive my CAI/Tune from Brenspeed tomorrow. I have already thrown a CEL. His tune will disable my rear O2 sensors, will the CEL clear after that, or will I have to do the disconnect battery trick?
2. Since I installed the O/R H pipe it seems to be a richer smell of more gas in the exhaust. Is this a result of the engine trying to adjust the mixture and running rich? Will the tune resolve this? I can't really tell if I have a slight exhaust leak, when I get on it it seems to have a little rasp coming from the front left side of the engine.
3. And finally... any way to resolve the trumpetting sound at 2k RPM and 3k RPM. I love the sound except in those two RPM ranges, it goes from aggressive to totally stupid sound as I pass through them. The 2k is more annoying as that is exactly around where I have to crusie at on the way to work each day.
Oh ya, and my neighbors now hate me!!!!!
Thanks in advance, I am a mustang noob, especially to modifying my exhaust.

RE: Another O/R H Pipe ?
Removing the cats will make it smell more gassy since you have removed the mechanism that burns up any remaining fuel. It could be made worse by your engine wanting to correct you now out of wack A/F as far as the rear O2 sensor is concered.
Battery trick will work to clear the CEL
Resonators to get rid of the drone is your best bet.

I don't think you want to change axle backs as the LM are sweet. What I mean is you may need to weld in what looks like cherry bombs or race pipes that have this mesh inside to cut down the droning. You typically place them before the axle, right after the H connection.
