Default gear question not covered

Whats going on guys... This is my first post and i have a question that has to do with gears. I want toinstal 3.73's. My question is do i need a bearing kit. All i purchased was a shim kit along with the gears and my lube. Since the car is an 07' i didnt think it would be an issue or necessary. Thanks.

You shouldn't need a bearing kit. Unless they're worn or otherwise less than good.

Probably not unless you beat the crap out of it.

Don't forget to put friction modifier in as well. Bearings should be alright.

Just buy Ford gears and use Royal Purple and you are set.
