hey guys i got a 2005 ford mustang v6 premium and the part number from the ford parts website 06024. and the rubber part is coming apart from the plastic cause of the heat anybody find a solution or any other way to fix it, what about buying another one? any cheap places to buy it

I am viewing this from my phone, sorry if it should be obvious from the picture, but was the part that separated the lid to the center console? If so, have you considered checking a local junkyard?

You can get those via aftermarket. I would look for 'center console arm rest'.

What part does that replace? Reading on it, it says its the "cover". Cover to what? Does it replace the rubber piece that is separating, or both rubber and plastic and just screw it into the console?

Well I just bought a whole new piece at the dealership. The retail. Price is $108 but since . Get a discount on Ford parts I only paid $70 for the piece. When I got the new part it replaced the whole door on the center console the plastic and the rubber that's on top and all you have to do is reuse the bolts on the hing of the old door. And that's it. But yes it was the whole rubber part on the old center console door that was peeling because of the heat.
