Diablo vs. SCT
i would check with who ever deals with using Diablo or SCT in your area that does dyno tuning. If you buy SCT but the nearest tuner is Diablo, then you might have to drive a distance if you plan on a dyno tune. If the tuners in your area deal with both or you don't care, i prefer the SCT Xcal2, i've seen people get good gains on a diablo and then get great gains on the Xcal. Also when i uploaded my tune or make changes to a tune, as toldby the guy that dyno's my car, that it uploads the tune alot faster than the diablo's.
dude or dudette: you have no idea that you just opened pandora's box. there's so much info on this you don't have time to read it all. there's a ton of stuff on mustangforums, and here's a link to good info on stangnet http://forums.stangnet.com/showthrea...ght=sct+diablo. you'll have people swear on their great great grandmother's grave that their preference is the best. from what i've gathered, diablosport predator and SCT XcalII are in a dead heat for first place. third place is far behind with superchips and hypertech, and never heard of anybody using fuego. brenspeed is easily the most popular mail order tune and you can [I think] get an SCT or a Predator from them with similar tunes. for more money you can get even more sophisticated ones like the livewire, but it's up to you. . .
and from what i've read and researched, the C&L racer CAI with a 93 octane tune from an SCT XcalII is about the most you can get out of the CAI/tune combo. again JUST MY OPINION from reading all these dang threads!!
maybe that helped maybe it didn't.
and what i say is all hypothetical cause i have no tuner!!! i had a hypertech on my F150 and it was great. . .

Brenspeed only does SCT
B ama does both
And most of all.....the handheld device really doesn't matter. What matters is the person who writes the tune. The livewire does nothing else performance wise over the XCAL2. Again the person who writes the tune can load into either device and load into your car. There will be no difference whatsoever. Some tuners say they have a few more options to play with using the SCT software but its not monumental.
The racer combo is not needed unless you have some pretty big mods (cams, headers, etc). The street version delivers more than enough air.
You are correct about the SCT and Diablo being at the top, but stating you don't even have a tuner doesn't help your stance.

last time i checked, BS was made up and had no foundation in reality. everything i said was based on what i have read and researched, as i so indicated. maybe matt has tried out every tuner, every cai, and every tuner shop in the universe. obviously he has more experience than i do and i acknowledge and appreciate that. and god knows he's posted more on here. i was simply attempting to assist in providing some information that i had learned, with no ill will or malice.

um, not sure why matt chose to dump on me there. i don't think i did or said anything to attack him as a person, did I???? matt, if i offended you i didn't intend to.
