Default Midway Ford GT Interceptor

One of the Ford dealers in my local area is selling thier own specialty Mustang the Midway Ford GT Interceptor. Bascially, it has most of the Ford Racing goodies installed.

It looks pretty nice. Price wont be bad after a bit of negotiating especially when all the mods done will be warrantied.

Incredible!!! - You could never do that with a stock GT and aftermarket parts... At almost $38K it is a steal! (I would pay 40K) Probably some smart/lucky person bought it already though... Oh well... Interceptor dreams tonight...

I was at Midway Ford the other day for a oil change and saw it up close on the showroom floor. It's a sweet ride. I suspect that if they sell it that they would continue to keep modding them.

Too bad they named it the Interceptor. Isn't that supposed to be the name of the new Ford on the Mustang frame but 4 door?

That's not an Interceptor, this is an interceptor: http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...00577137497590

Until recently I worked for Lone Star Ford internet sales and had this Mustang built for a customer (he said he wanted 500 hp).

Specs:
Intercooled Vortech S2, Kooks long tubes, Bassani high flow cats and mufflers, 3.73 gear, boost gauge, cold plugs, lowering springs, strut tower brace, Steeda Comp UCA. 447 rwhp

The original sticker was $29,845 and I sold the whole package for $36,990. It was the last car I delivered (I have a normal job now).

Unfortunately, most dealers don't have the ***** to build real performance. They'll stick spoilers, wheels, etc, but nothing substantial under thehood.
