6 qts covers a GT oil change right?
Ok so I bought 6 quarts and they all went in during my oil change... But the level read low. It was RIGHT above the minimum line. So I went to drive and get another quart and when I got back I checked again and the level was now up to halfway, or a little more.
Should I leave it as is? I thought 6 quarts is right but was stunned to see the level barely at the min mark at first

6 quarts total.
When you do the oil change with filter, add only 6 quarts. Let it set for a little bit after you have started and checked for leaks and it will read correctly.

After first oil change I had used 6.5 quarts to read full. I do the trick where you fill the new oil filter up 2/3 the way and install so less work on the pump!

But is the goal here to reach the top line? Im under the impression you want to be in the middle... Too little is bad, while too much is bad because of possible leaks.
