Step 1: Sound Deaden
Step 2: Insulate
Step 3: Locate specific rattles and noises and deaden further or insulate between

You will never get rid of them all, but it will make your bass more enjoyable and elimate most of them.

The rattle is the trunk bowing out and in. Not a piece of plastic.

Thats why i was looking to see if u guys knew anything. Dynamat isnt gonna stiffen the trunk.

The act of metal bending will make no noise. Sound is a vibration of the particles of a medium in a linear wave. Sound deadener interferes with and reduces vibration. Therefore, sound deadener will reduce or eliminate most rattles. For rattles coming from the license plate banging against the back or for two panels (metal or plastic) striking each other, apply either some deadener or some other soft material between said surfaces and VIOLA! rattle reduced or gone.

If this isn't clear, then take it to a good audio shop where they will a) tell you the same thing, and b) fix it for you after taking your money.

Huh? Take their advice

Bowing body pannels don't cause rattling, they can make a creaking noise but thats different.

The black housing on the trunk lid rattles like nuts, dynamat that and your biggset rattle will be solved.

Hey, you are the one who asked for the solution. Don't knock the answer until you have tried it. How many people will it take for you to believe that sound deadening is the fix for your rattles. I applied dynamat all in my trunk and am convinced it works.
