Does anybody know where to get the 3M adhesive promoter used to install the louvers? I tried Home Depot and Lowes, with no help. Is this stuff really needed?

well, if it helps any. on my v6I put on the 3dcarbon ducktail spoiler, which is supposed to use the holes + 3m tape on the bottom and I just put it on with only the tape, also no adhesive promoter. It lasted perfectly even through sub zero temps of winter, car washes, etc, just fine

 

Go to your local auto body supply store. Almost any auto store that sells paint supplies should carry it.
