Default About to Purchase a New GT

Just finished up selling my old car and I started my hunt for the perfect GT. I have access to a X Plan PIN and was curious what I should be paying for a 2007 GT Deluxe with leather or a Base premium for out the door, Both 5 speeds.

Thanks

Julian

You should be paying X Plan less rebate(s) plus whatever your local taxes and fees are.

Be sure to give it a good test drive to see if it has the front end thunking noise. You'd hear it under 35mph on small bumps/ripples in road. If it does, keep looking.

If you get the PIN generated by X plan, i doubt any dealer you go to will bargain on price... The X-plan is a set price

Test drive after a heavy rain & if you are alone with the car pull up the passenger door sil & pull back on the passenger kick panel (they both just snap out) & lift up the carpet & see if it is wet. Also check for thunks. Ford cannot reliably fix either problem, don't let them try just move on. Good luck there alot of fun on smooth roads in the desert.

I purchased with an X-Plan and it was a great experience. I was given an 'internet price' on the phone and when I got there found out that it was with the rebate applied. We went through a round of 'initial here and I'll take the offer to my manager and see.....'. I then told him that I had an X-Plan PIN I coudl use and he said "why didn't you say that. let me get you the price". Came back in 2 min, gave me the price, which was cheaper, shook my hand and took me to the finance department. No bull, no document fees. Just easy and painless.

I'm not entierly convinced that it's the lowest price though. But it was low enough for me.

Good luck on your purchase. Do a little shopping and you'll find a good deal.

Steve

True. I was there when my g/f bought her Escape and once you hit the X-Plan, they won't give you rebates or haggle or anything.

The flip side of that is that when I bought my stang, I got the guy below the X-Plan price so I didn't use it.
