Default heat from xpipe/cats: cooling off the passenger compartment???

I only recently noticed it getting very hot next to my right leg while driving. It may be the high flow cats or the x pipe or something. Whatever it is, has anybody ever used this product or a similar one to keep the passenger compartment cooler in the summer??? I had the idea, not fully explored yet, to attach it under the car in areas the heat shields don't cover.

You can also use Dynamat or Second Skin. It works for noise, vibration and thermal barrier but, it goes on the interior. It also makes your bass sound better. Its a bit of a hassle but, very easy to do just time consuming. You'll have to take out the seats, console and carpet and stick it to the floor, etc. I have 80 sq. ft. installed in my car including the trunk. Its hard to believe yuou can use that much but, it works. It can be heavy so, if you're concerned about weight then don't do it.Its about .5 lb/sq. ft. so I added about 40 lbs to the weight of the car but, its all down low.

I thought mine were rattling. So I removed all 4 of them and the noise is still present while cruising above 50ish. I think it's the exhaust/cats, it doesn't start until the car warms up. Mine sounds like wind blowing on the heat shields, not sure what your rattle sounds like. It's annoying with the radio off, but not lound enough to waste any more time on.

something like this would keep the heat OUT, right? http://www.pitstopusa.com/detail.aspx?ID=64805

dynomat. . . heard of it. that sounds like something i'd like: eliminate noise and heat from inside the car. not so worried about the weight. it'd give me an excuse to lose 30 pounds!!!!!

Moose: you or anybody you know use that exhaust tape or header wrap with any success? Seems pretty messy and ugly for a non-high speed racer, but sounds like it does the trick with keeping heat where it's supposed to be.
