Hood shake
After reading here about the hood on our Stangs doing a dance at high speeds, I wanted to see where mine would start to shake. At 120 mph mine started to shake, and it looked pretty scary like it wanted to rip out. My question, is to those who have the shaker hood scoop. Does this installation stop the shake in the hood at high speeds? Thought that maybe enough wind pressuremight berelievedby the hole in the hood, or is that a pretty tight seal?

Mine starts at 80 mph (after adjusting stops one time) so if yours starts at 120 you are really OK. Just the nature of the hood on these cars. I often have to travel at 100+ mph for business and the hood has not popped off. Do not worry.

RE: Hood shake
Thanks guys.Gtrips, I noticed movement at 100mph, but it looked bad at 120 like a ripple affect. I know our hoods are aluminum, and hopefully there is enough flex to keep them straight. At 140mph, I don't remember any movement in my 97 GT hood. I'll try the adjustment thing, but just wondered if anyone who had the shaker hood scoop noticed an improvement in lesshood shake at high speeds.
