I'm looking forward to putting this on, and will be contacting the movie theatre to see if I can cordon off an area at the drive-in to have people pull in to...I'm going to make a run and see if I can't plan this all out for everyone who's interested.
I just have to pick a weekend when I could get a bunch of people together to do it...

Ya up here in New England cruises & shows are every weekend someplace. Plus you have of choice of some that cater to street rods or musclecars or both,or even the kids and rice cars have there own cruises. Going back to your suggestion probably plan the cruise and throw in the movie as a plus. Unless your trying to reserve the whole movie just for your cruise cars, then it could be tricky. What the local outdoor theatre does is once a year they have the cruise at thedrive-in and show American Graffiti & Hollywood Knights. It's agood time and mostly street rods.I like cruises but not the ones your stuck at. (cars parked end to end) I like hanging out and when I'm finished with my interest, I leave usually 7-8,not stuck until 10pm. (my back can't stand it that long)

Where in the hell in Diego is a Drive-In still operating? I grew up in S.D., and let me tell you, if the old Harbor Drive-In could talk. I live in L.A. now, but I would definitely take a cruise down south to meet up and watch a flick(maybe they'll be showing The Grind House!). Keep us(that are interested) posted! Maybe sometime this summer?(late June? I'm in school, yes at 41, trying to get my MBE, taking forever though, very $$$$$$$!).

If I paid $1200+ for a cruise then yeah, I could probably afford a drive-in movie at the end. But explain to me why getting off a boat would be more exciting if you then jump in your car and drive to a theatre???
I guess im the kind of person who would rather just go home at that point.
