Mobil 1 Extended Performance
I was looking at the mobil 1 website, and seeing that the Mobil 1 Extended Performance doesn't list Ford WSS-M2C929-A as approved standands, but the regular Mobil 1 does.
So, why is that? Is it a good idea to switch to Mobil 1 Extended Performance, instead of the regular Mobil 1?

You just said it does not meet standards, and then asked if you should switch to it...
Regular is better imo. But hey, ford has a spec for a reason so might as well follow it...

IMHO, Extended Performance is more hype and cost than benefit. It costs over 40% more than normal Mobil-1 with a claim of 15K miles. Your oil filter is the weakest link and should be changed more frequently, so you're better off using normal M1 and changing the oil at normal intervals.
