Has anyone seen or know where a rear emblem delete option piece can be purchased or if it even exists?

You can't get it from the factory. In fact, the metal under the emblem is NOT curved like the rest of the rear decklid. It would take some metal working or bondo work to smooth it out and make it look right. That being said, there IS a thread here about a guy who did the work. It looks fantastic, but he intimated that the price would be pretty steep for such a small area. Do a search, you should find it.

 

If you are referring to the fake gas cap, look up Fairlane252 on these forums. He shaved the rear emblem and pretty much ALL the emblems from his car. Looks really good whem professionally done. There are 2 guide holes under that emblem that have to be filled. (welded) I bought the Classic Design Concepts rear blackout panel for mine and installed it this past friday. I like the look of it so far.

Theres no point to doing this project... It just costs money and time and actually takes away from the looks of the car.

I think you're just bored with your car basically. Consider doing something else cosmetic...

 

No, you got it wrong. There is no point in you doing this project because you think it takes away from the car. I personally don't like the fake gas cap and would rather spend the time and money to have it black and flush then do something else. I have basically only had my car for 3 months so bored, I don't think so.

I really don't understand the point of your post????????????????

I think the rear emblem is one of the coolest parts of the car. Why someone would ever take that off and replace it with a black piece of plastic I'll never know. [&:]

I'm not talking about a piece of plastic, I'm talking about taking off the fake gas cap and having the area smoothed and painted over........................oh I can see it now

I did it to my 06. I just hated that huge chrome plastic thing. Some like it some dont. I don't care... its my car.
