Go for whatever you want done with your car. It's your car! Some people just don't get it. Go try your local body shop. I'm sure they can do it. Good luck!

mikewillsmith,

Dang! Good job. That's one sick looking rear end. Congratulations!

That's the cool thing about our cars is there's so much we can do. To the looks or power etc. I won't knock anyones designs or what they change. Geez if we all drove the same looking cars that would really suck. I say let everyone do what they want. Some people want stock looking cars, myself along with others don't want a stock looking car. To each his own.

I think the rear emblem is one of the coolest parts of the car. Why someone would ever take that off and replace it with a black piece of plastic I'll never know.
I think the fake cap on the GT is pretty ugly.
The v6 at least has the pony, which imo looks better.
The main reason mine is gone is because of the aftermarket gascap cover I put on.
I think it looked pretty ridiculous with 2 "gascaps".

But that's just me.
Do what you want with yours.

I'm not talking about a piece of plastic, I'm talking about taking off the fake gas cap and having the area smoothed and painted over........................oh I can see it now

Like this but painted and no Foose badge

I have to believe that the Foose car pictured has some sort of plastic thingy on the rear end. The job of filling that in with metal was a pain. The area where the logo /gas cap goes was flat and it took a lot of metal work to shape that area to look good without it. I've never seen the Foose car up close, but I would bet some $$ that it is a cover of some sort, not a metal re-work. I think this because the area is not gloss black and there is some sort of edge around the key hole, and that Foose logo likely is stuck in the 2 holes left by removing the GT logo/ gas cap. Plus I can't see them doing the metal work on a car that is basically a number of bolt ons and a few Foose badges. Don't get me wrong, I like the car, but I doubt they did any hand metal work in that car. It would cost them too much time and money to do it.

I like conservative looks too. With all that extra stuff on it plastic this and plastic that, fake that and fake this take away from the car. My car is getting the front end re-painted and I'm having the GTs' taken off the front fender. Can't wait to see what it looks like. I did see one on the American Muscle website. Also makes the car look more like a sleeper.

Personelly, I always liked the real gas caps on the back of the vehicle, as opposed to the stupid door on the drivers side. I wish there was a place that would relocate the fuel fill and cap to the back and fill in the side. I believe the old shelby's had a sping loaded gas cap. Just my two cents.

To each his or her own...It's what you like and want that counts. I got rid of my fake gas cap as well...

^ thats pretty awesome, sometimes i wish i could have my license plate relocated and have the mustang letters across the back like the 99-04s. but the other part of me likes the blackout panel look.
