un f*cking believeable. i JUST got my suspension noise fixed without going to the god damned dealer and NOW THIS.. . not only that but the TSB does not cover 2007 cars!!!!!!!! the throttle hesitation in my car is in second and third gears when getting on the gas hard. it basically backfires without the back fire. . like it's missing out, starved for fuel, etc. any recommendations since i don't have an 05 or 06 model???? just when i was beginning to like this car again. It's under warranty. Take it in and let them fix the damn thing.

That's what it feels like to me.. just a slow response by the computer.. trottle lag. Not fuel pump. I just don't slam teh pedal down.. as that seems to be the issue.. down halfway for 1-2 seconds.. then floor it.
It can get scary though.. pulling out quickly and having a delay like that.

I take it you have an automatic?
I have the same problem with my GT and it can get scary when I floor it and nothing happens for a few seconds! I try to work around it by turning off overdrive, not flooring it quite so far, and not cutting into lanes where there traffic coming up too fast. The problem is that the computer is just too overwhelmed by info and takes too long to decide to downshift from top gear into 2nd or 3rd gear. There's also a lag with lots of Sport mode shifters... I wonder if the Ferraris and Lambos with the paddleshifters and no clutches have a lag. Probably not!

This seems to happen to me when im doing about 20 mph, and letting off thegas and making a turn.... then when i step on the gas, i get a bit of a hesitation, then the car will take off and roar (seems like it revs higher than it should).

Does this sound like the fuel pump issueor the throttle lag issue.

I don't think it's half bad. I may be used to my other ride that is a turbo diesel though.

what i'm experiencing is NEW. i've had this car since december and have 6,000 miles on it. it has never done this before. some things that may have changed:

1) put 93 octane gas when i usually use 87 [just felt like it]
2) ran an autocross course and the problem only happened AFTER running the course 11 times with 1/4 tank of fuel.

could this somehow magically get air in the fuel pump? or do something to cause it to cut out???

CAN ANYBODY DEFINITIVELY SAY WHAT IS CAUSING THIS??????

So you ran the wrong octane than what your car was tuned for, and then made it suck that gas from the bottom of your tank (1/4) while it was sloshing around? Your wondering how that could have prematurely dirtied the fuel filter?
