Default Throttle hesitation between 20mph ---40mph

it seems that every time i either floor my car from 0 or around 20 to 40, the car like stalls and doesnt go anywhere in between that region, almost causing me to get rear-ended by a truck the other day,

is that happening to other mustangs? i kno mine is only a v6 but i never had that damn problem til 2 weeks ago

well it goes somewhere, it just stays stuck in that region and takes longer than usual to pick up speed, someone told me, it might be a lack of gas pressure or something

I've noticed a little of that on my GT too (auto btw). I'm not sure if it's the TSB issue, or just regular throttle lag.

They also say "long" highway cruises, how long is long though?

Check the TSB and if that is not it than gets it to the dealer for some warranty work. I know ....I wouldn't want to go there either but what r u going to do?

Esp if done by the dealer. I would only go to a custom hotrod place or a paint and body guy that is known for show quality paint!

I take it you have an automatic?
I have the same problem with my GT and it can get scary when I floor it and nothing happens for a few seconds! I try to work around it by turning off overdrive, not flooring it quite so far, and not cutting into lanes where there traffic coming up too fast. The problem is that the computer is just too overwhelmed by info and takes too long to decide to downshift from top gear into 2nd or 3rd gear. There's also a lag with lots of Sport mode shifters... I wonder if the Ferraris and Lambos with the paddleshifters and no clutches have a lag. Probably not!
