What RPM do you launch at?
Sorry if this question has been asked before.
Anyone who is running a close to stock GT, what RPM do you launch your car at? Ive tried 1700 to 2000 and it works ok,get some wheel spin, just wondering if thats the right range to be at. Getting ready to go to the track Thursday and I already know I pretty much suck at the track ( Prior experience with other cars ), so I need all the help I can get. Thanks for the info!!!

RE: What RPM do you launch at?
Through the clutch/throttle transtion the RPMs stay pretty constant until I get complete grip and go when the RPMs obviosly proceed to go up. I dont dump the clutch, by that I mean the RPMs dont take a dive once I let off of the clutch. Hope that makes sense.

RE: What RPM do you launch at?
On stock tires (i have 17 but this should work for u) i drop my tire PSI to 25-26 and launch at about 1750 if i can get it there on time, i have a few mods but it shouldnt make too big of a difference, i used the same technique when i was stock. I think the best way to find out your best launch RPM is to start low and go up a couple hundred every run until your happy. I let the clutch off pretty quick when i launch since my tires are at a low PSI so just play around with it.
here is a good link that helps explain it.
