Some CAI advertise that they dont require a tune, such as western motorsports, but it costs 500, and u can get a JLT2 and an xcal2 from www.evoperform.com for 525. There is also this http://www.rpmoutlet.com/05gtsnb.htmbut i have a hard time believing that it can add WHP without a tune. If u want it to look pretty under the hood get one of those, if u want power, get an intake/tuner combo.

Both are good, but make sure you get a custom tune from www.brenspeed.com or something. its WELL worth it!

A buddy of mine bought a Granetilli intake for his Mustang GT. It doesn't require a tune. He loves it says it woke his car up. It cost around 300 - 350 I think. Maybe you should look into that.

K&N have one as well but I got her tuned anyway as many stated they become lean w/out a tune!

CAI/Tune combo from Brenspeed or B amachips. VMP is also a great choice.

yeah if you get an intake you should probably also go with a tune. It will allow you to get the most power out of ur intake and the rest of your car, and it is a great base for adding other mods in the future. the xcal2 and diablo seem to be the most popular and i don't really know of any other brands. As for an intake, JLT and C&L seem very popular but there are plenty of good brands out there. Ur best bet will probably be to find a good intake/tuner combo on the internet

Interesting thread… I don’t know if my K & N Cold Air Intake was tuned up. Maybe my brother did it for me, because he was the one who took it for installation. I didn’t mind to ask. Now, I get to think to ask him when I get to see him tomorrow.

Speaking of tunes and tuners...

Has anyone had experience with the Diablosport tuners? I'm just curious as to how they compare to the SCT Xcal2's...Seems just about every intake/tune combo out there has the SCT tuner.
